Your wedding ceremony ... We have the perfect wedding scenario here on Christmas Tree Lane with our gorgeous panoramic Blue Ridge Mountain view, a B&B day spa right up the mountain and a gorgeous B&B with a fancy restaurant, casual pub and lakeside patio right down the hill. Imagine a horse and carriage delivering you and your bridesmaids to your wedding after you have spent the morning getting ready at the top of the mountain ... massages, hair, make-up in your own gorgeous spot. After the wedding you can have your reception in the tasting room (smaller parties of 50 or so) or tented on the lawn (we can accommodate really big tents) or .... the carriage can take you and your groom down the mountain for a romantic dinner for 2 or reception with your invited guests at the B&B. If your wedding is larger, there are several gorgeous large indoor facilities in the area that are rentable.
We do not close during our regular open hours so weekend daytime weddings must be done on the lower lawn where we have plenty of space and parking for you to have a very nice private tented event. Rehearsal Dinners - Let us help you plan your rehearsal dinner. Enjoy a casual supper on the Tasting Room Veranda or a fine dining experience at our partner B&B. Farewell Wedding Brunches - Return to savor the memory of your wedding day and host a farewell brunch before departing for your honeymoon. For the most important days of your life you deserve a setting that exceeds your expectations. We welcome you to celebrate your marriage surrounded by the Blue Ridge mountains and the tranquil, romantic ambience of Little Washington Winery. Function policies ... Facility Rental Fee - The basic space rental fee to reserve a private event at Little Washington Winery is $350.00 per hour, due in full upon arrival prior to start of the event. This fee includes use of building facilities as they currently exist and bare space on grass. All tenting, seating, decor, alcohol, food, staff, off-site changing room areas, spa services, reception services and wedding planning services are extra services that are not included in the rental of event space. Alcohol Purchases - No alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the property. By ABC law, all alcohol and drink purchases must be made through Little Washington Winery. Payment for wines ordered for a private event must be made in advance when the wine requested is ordered for the event. Staff Requirements – The facility rental fee includes one person on our staff who will serve as the ABC manager for the event. Should you require additional staff assistance to support your private event we can hire staff for you at the rate of $20 per person per hour. Alternatively, you may choose to hire and bring additional staff you need for your event separately, but they will not have access to our kitchen/office area or be able to serve/handle alcohol. Deposits and Space Confirmation - Dates are considered definite upon receipt of a non-refundable booking deposit, security deposit and signed contract. The booking deposit is 10% of the estimated total amount of the contract for your event. A second deposit of 30% of the estimated balance is due 6 months prior to your Wedding Day. A third deposit of 30% of the estimated balance is due 3 months prior to your Wedding Day. A fourth deposit of 30% of the estimated balance is due 1 month prior to your Wedding Day. The final balance, if any, is due 10 days prior to your Wedding Day along with a completed credit card authorization form for any remaining balance at the conclusion of your event. All deposits are non-refundable. Damage Deposit - We reserve the right to inspect and control all private functions. The host of the event is held responsible for the members of their group. The host will be charged for any damages. Little Washington Winery will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceiling, with nails, tacks, staples, carpet tape or other materials. We require a $500 damage deposit due upon the signing of the contract. The deposit will be held to go toward any damages to the facilities or grounds and is refundable subject to inspection of the event area after your event. Cleaning Options – You may opt to clean up after your private event and leave the facilities as clean as they were when you found them or provide a $300 cleaning fee to have us clean up for you. We require a $300 cleaning deposit in advance, due upon the signing of the contract. The deposit is refundable subject to inspection of the event area after your event. Guarantees and Cancellations - A final confirmation “guarantee” of your anticipated number of guests is required by 12:00 noon ten (10) working days prior to your event day and this guarantee may not be reduced. We will make an allowance to set 5% above your guarantee if requested. Cancellations must be made with our Special Events Office between 8:30AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. All cancellations must be submitted and confirmed in writing. All deposits prior to any cancellation are non-refundable. Liability - We cannot assume responsibility for any personal items or equipment brought onto our property. All personal property and vendor equipment must be removed at the conclusion of the event. Lost and Found - Little Washington Winery cannot be held responsible for damage to, or loss of, any articles left on the property prior to or following your event. We will make every effort to return found items to the owner. Security - If, in the sole judgment of Little Washington Winery, additional security is required due to the size and nature of your event, we may require you to provide, at your expense, uniformed or nonuniformed personnel. Any and all security must be arranged through Little Washington Winery. Little Washington Winery shall have final approval on any security personnel to be utilized during your function. Parking - Ample complimentary parking is available. Valet Service can be arranged at your expense if requested. Little Washington Winery is not responsible for any damage or theft to vehicles, or their contents.
